DAKAR, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected in Dakar on Wednesday, for a visit during which she will give a speech outlining her country's policy toward Africa, a diplomatic source said on Monday.
The same source said that the speech will be delivered at the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and will be titled "The Speech of Dakar."
The source further added that the speech, which will be delivered at the university's conference hall, will be attended by the diplomatic corps accredited to Dakar.
Clinton will stay in Dakar on Wednesday and Thursday. This is the first visit she is making to Senegal in her capacity as the U. S. State Secretary. She had initially visited the West African nation in 1998 in her capacity as the U.S. First Lady.
