ISLAMABAD, June 14 (Xinhua) -- At least four people were killed Thursday morning when a U.S. predator drone attacked Pakistan's north-western region of North Waziristan, local media reported.
According to local Urdu TV ARY News, the U.S. drone targeted a house in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan, one of Pakistan' s seven restive tribal regions along Pakistani-Afghan border.
The drone fired two missiles at the house in which four people were killed on the spot.
The house was completely destroyed in the attack while some nearby houses also got damaged.
Local media quoted some eyewitnesses as saying that two drones took part in the attack, one fired missiles at the house while the other hovered over the area.
Local tribal people rushed to the spot after the attack and started rescue work.
The identities of the victims are still unknown.
On Wednesday evening, four people were killed when US drones targeted two vehicles by firing four missiles in the same region.
It was the 22nd drone strike of its kind (counted on daily basis) in Pakistan's north-western tribal regions that border Afghanistan since the start of this year in which at least 159 people were reportedly killed.
