ABUJA, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-one foreign nationals were among the dead in Sunday's air crash in Nigeria that killed 193 people, aviation authorities said Wednesday.

Eight Americans, six Chinese, two Lebanese, and one each from Canada, France, Germany, India and Indonesia were among the passengers who lost their lives.

Seven of the eight Americans had dual nationality, according to a list of passengers provided by aviation authorities.

The plane crash killed all 153 people on board and 40 others on the ground.

On Tuesday, consular officials from these foreign countries visited Lagos state governor Babatunde Fashola to liaise with relevant agencies on how to identify the dead.

Nigerian embassies abroad were ordered Tuesday to open condolence registers for the victims of the air crash.

National flags were flown at half-staff in Nigeria's missions abroad.
