ABUJA, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan Monday offered condolences to Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Viola Onwuliri, who lost her husband in Sunday's plane crash in southwestern Lagos State.
Onwuliri's husband, Celestine Onwuliri, vice-chancellor of Federal University of Technology (FUTO), was among the more than 150 victims killed in the air crash.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) said in a statement that the minister's husband and other four NUC officials were travelling for an official assignment in the Lagos metropolis when the tragedy occurred.
