On Sunday, a passenger plane from the Nigeria's capital of Abuja crashed in a heavily populated area near the Lagos airport, killing 153 people on board the plane and 40 others living inside the two-story building.

Zuma sent his message of sympathy to the families and friends of those who lost their loved ones.

It was the worst plane crash in Nigeria in recent years. Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan declared three days of national mourning for those who lost their lives in the crash.
