DAMASCUS, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- An armed "terrorist" group on Tuesday targeted a gas pipeline near al-Rastan town in central Syria that feeds two power stations, the official SANA news agency reported.
At least five pipelines have been targeted since the eruption of unrest in Syria in mid March. Syria held what it called " saboteurs" responsible for the attacks.
In July, fire damaged a natural gas pipeline in Deir el-Zour and Another oil pipeline was blasted in Talkhalakh area in Homs.
On Dec. 13, Some gunmen blew up a gas pipeline in Homs, causing minor damages. A week earlier, another oil pipeline in Homs was targeted.
On Dec. 27, a gas pipeline was targeted by an explosive device planted by "terrorist groups" north of al-Ashrafiya village.
No injuries were reported in the three attacks that occurred in December.
