Studio interview: Economic restructuring and upgrading underway

English.news.cn   2015-10-31 14:42:29

BEIJING, Oct.31 (Xinhuanet) -- For more insights, we're now joined by Zhang Jianping, Director of the International Cooperation Department, from the Foreign Economic Research Institute, National Development and Reform Commission.

Q1: China wants to double its GDP by 2020 from 2010, meaning the economy should be growing by at least 6.5%. Is it feasible?

Q2: Let's also talk about innovation. Mass innovation and entrepreneurship haven't been put in a more important position than today. Incubators spring across the country; more than three million new companies have been established since this year; students, teachers and even migrant workers are encouraged to start their own businesses. What does this look like to you? Are you concerned it will grow into a bubble?

Q3: And China says it will further open up and pursue a bigger role in global economic governance. But how exactly?
