BEIJING, Oct 30 (Xinhuanet) -- The Russian naval and armed forces have staged joint military exercises in the Black Sea, on the coast of the Crimean peninsula.
Military vessels and Bal rocket systems on the coast hit targets on land, as drones controlled operations from the air.
Crimea separated from Ukraine and voted to return to Russia in 2014 after the ousting of former President Viktor Yanukovich.
That was followed by fighting between rebels and Ukrainian government troops in eastern Ukraine.
The war in Ukraine has dragged relations between Russia and the West to a low level.
