BEIJING, Oct.29 (Xinhuanet) -- A Russian parliamentary delegation to Syria has called on Western countries to end sanctions on Syria and resume diplomatic ties with the Syrian government. The delegation held a press conference on Wednesday after their return from the country.
"I believe it is time to return to start a direct dialogue between Syria and Western countries. The Russian Congress is also ready to provide necessary help for solving these problems in the long term," said Sergei Gavrilov, Russian Duma Delegation to Syria.
