BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- And Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has spoken about President Xi Jinping's UK trip. He said the state visit has opened a 'golden era' of bilateral relations, and ushered in a new chapter for exchanges between China and the West.

Talking about the achievements made during the visit, Wang highlighted the agreement signed by Chinese and French companies to cooperate in the building of a nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point in southwest England.

He said this is the first time China has cooperated with developed countries on construction in major strategic industries, and the project would be a "flagship" part of China-Britain cooperation.

In addition, the country can help bring about an early conclusion to talks over the China-EU bilateral investment agreement and help promote a future Free Trade Agreement between China and the EU.

Wang Yi said that China will hold frequent high-level exchanges with other European countries like Franc eand Germany to further promote China-Europe relations.
