BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that China will continue to grow at a sustainable rate, and will not experience a hard landing. He made the remarks while attending the UK-China Business Summit in London.

Xi said that China's economic growth has been rapid over the past three decades, and the country will continue to open up its markets, and participate in global economic governance. Xi outlined his vision for China's "Belt and Road" initiative. He said that the project will create better infrastructure and connectivity globally, and trigger further economic growth.

He also identified four suggested areas to further strengthen the UK-China relationship. They are to deepen mutual trust between the countries, to further align UK-China development strategies and industrial policy, to move forward cooperation in big projects such as nuclear energy, high speed rail, infrastructure and renminbi internationalization, and to enhance cooperation in emerging industries.
