BEIJING, Oct. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- The first bus full of migrants has arrived at a Slovenian border crossing with Croatia, after Hungary shut its southern border with Croatia late on Friday, diverting the people towards Slovenia.
The Slovenian police on Saturday said the bus was on the eastern Gruskovje crossing, not far from the border with Hungary. They also said the new arrivals would now go through a registration process.
Slovenia has cancelled all rail traffic with Croatia so that migrants are not able to enter the country by train. But both countries said on Friday that they would not restrict the flow of migrants and refugees, so long as Austria and Germany keep their borders open.
