BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Twenty-two Chinese tourists have been injured in a bus accident in the western Austrian state of Tirol.
The accident took place while 32 Chinese tourists were traveling by bus near a small town called Obsteig. The bus went off the road after it collided with a truck. It rolled into a ditch that is 5 to 6 meters deep.
Tirolean police sent 4 helicopters and several ambulances to the scene. The injured tourists have been dispersed among several different hospitals for treatment. According to one Chinese tourist at the scene, most of the passengers on the bus were elderly.
