IMF: China's transition necessary and healthy

English.news.cn   2015-10-12 09:22:22

BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- China's economic transition has been part of the issues on the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Lima, the capital of Peru.

IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said the global economic growth this year will be slightly lower than last year due to some uncertainties, such as policy transition of major economic powers.

But she said China's ongoing economic restructuring is necessary and healthy, and it would impact other countries. The impact could be felt in sectors such as trade, exchange rate, and capital flows.
