BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhuanet) --Russian warplanes have bombed 29 ISIL camps and other facilities in Syria during the past 24 hours. That's according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry said Saturday that during the period the Russian air force conducted 64 sorties and hit 55 targets, including two ISIL command centers and several troop positions. The Ministry says the effort has degraded the strength of the terrorist forces in Syria and that intelligence reports indicate the militants are now suffering from a shortage of fuel and ammunition.
The monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says Russian strikes hit areas of Latakia and Hama provinces where Islamic State has no real presence.
