BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Xi Jinping will pay his first state visit as Chinese president to the United States from Tuesday to Friday next week, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
President Xi accepted US President Barack Obama’s invitation to visit in February. The four-day trip comes after Obama visited China in November last year, and an informal summit between the two sides at the Sunnylands estate in California in June 2013.
At the invitation of U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Xi will aslo visit the U.N. headquarters in New York to attend a series of summits commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.
