BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- The second China-Arab States Expo is being held in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. On Friday, a total of 163 deals worth about 26.8 billion US dollars were signed. The agreements between China and the Arab nations in attendance cover the fields of technology, agriculture and transportation.
Ministers and senior officials of organizations from countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Oman and Morocco, attended a technology cooperation and innovation meeting Friday.
A series of memorandums and agreements were also inked in the fields of technology transfer and satellite data services. The expo, which kicked off on Thursday, runs until tomorrow in Ningxia's capital Yinchuan. The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is home to more than 10 percent of China's 20 million Muslims.
