BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Iran is holding a massive aerial exercise in the country's central province of Isfahan, to boost defensive capabilities. The two-day drill started Saturday. It involves various military aircraft, including fighters, bombers, tankers and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The Iranian air force will conduct reconnaissance and data transfer missions, strike air and ground targets and practice civil defense tactics. The drills will cover an area of 400,000 square kilometers. The spokesman for the exercise was quoted as saying that indigenous missiles and bombs will also be used.
