BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- A number of foreign leaders and officials watched China's military parade on Thursday to mark the 70th anniversary of victory in World War Two. CCTV spoke so some of them to see what they thought of the parade, and about China's role in safeguarding world peace.
Bratislav Gasic, Serbian Defense Minister said:"Both China and Serbia made tremendous contributions during the world anti-Fascist War. China's V-day military parade drew guests from countries around the world. It was a new way to mark a new era of human civilization and to strengthen friendly ties. I hope a tragedy like the Second World War will never happen again." "I watched China's military parade which was broadcast on our TV. The formations were amazing. I think China's development in technology, the economy, society and other areas are key factors in safeguarding world order and stability," said Fernando Soto, former Chairman of Venezuelan Congress.
