BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Just a week to go until China hosts a grand military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two. And the press center dedicated to covering the events has opened Thursday in Beijing. The center accepts applications from foreign reporters, as well as those from China's Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
It provides information and technology services for reporters. The center's official website has also been launched to share information about interviews, press conferences and other events. Reporters have already begun to get their accreditation certificates at the center. From Friday onwards, there will be daily press conferences until the parade.
"So far the total number of reporters registered is over 3,700, including over 1,500 from more than 400 foreign media. We have planned for 6 press conference as well as 6 group interviews. There will be also some theatrical performance in the evenings so that the reporters can know more about China and our society," said Zhai Huisheng, director of Press Center for Sep.3 Military Parade.
