BEIJING, August 19 (Xinhuanet) -- To the latest on the crash of an Indonesian passenger plane that apparently slammed into the side of a mountain, killing all 54 people on board on Sunday.
Rescuers say the bodies of all 54 people on the plane have been recovered and there were no survivors.
Herominus Guru, National Search and Rescue Agency said:"The Search and Rescue Agency as well as other search teams from Timika managed to find all 54 bodies as of 12.15 p.m. local time. All the bodies are now in body bags waiting to be evacuated."
The search team also found the plane's black boxes and they were transferred to the national transport security committee for examination.
The Trigana Air Service ATR 42-300 plane was enroute from Jayapura to the southern Indonesian city of Oksibil with 49 passengers and five crew members on board when it crashed.
Authorities say all of the victims were Indonesian nationals.
