Impact of Yuan's devaluation on outbound tourism

English.news.cn   2015-08-19 09:32:09

BEIJING, August 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Although the devalued yuan caused an increase in the cost of outbound tourism, prices of outbound travelling products have not risen in recent days.

Travel agencies say the devaluation led to the increase of 50 to 200 yuan in their tour packages from 3000 to 10 thousand yuan.

The currency's depreciation has had the biggest impact on international air tickets.

But with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays coming closer, it's expected that the number of outbound tourists will decrease.
