BEIJING, Aug.13 (Xinhuanet) -- At the 5th China Powerboat League in Danjiangkou, Hubei province, the Grand Prix concluded Tuesday with 17 teams competing in races across four categories. The Qingdao Motorboat Team was dominant, winning three times.
Launched in 2011, the China Power League has now become the sports top professional competition in the country in terms of prestige and participation.
The Qingdao Team finished the tournament in high spirits, winning the F4 motorboat race, the jet skis, and the flyboard competition.
Li Qianqian of the Anhui Team claimed the vertical watercraft race title, becoming the only female contestant to finish top of the podium.
"I feel very tired after the three-day competition, but my will power pushes me to finish. From the qualifying round to the later rounds, I was able to hold the lead. It is a big accomplishment for me to claim the title," Li said.
The CPL next will head to Liuzhou, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in October.
