BEIJING, Aug. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Meanwhile, the US Air Force has sent six F-16 "Fighting Falcon" fighter jets to the Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. Military activity was seen at the air base on Monday.
The jets and approximately three hundred support personnel are part of a build up aimed at combating Islamic State militants. The American detachment comes from a group stationed in Italy. Turkey last month approved the use of its air bases by US and coalition aircraft in the fight against Islamic State.
