BEIJING, August 2 (Xinhuanet) -- China's weather authorities have issued heatwave alerts across the country.
In the Southern Xinjiang Basin, Turpan Basin, areas along the Tianshan Mountains in north Xinjiang, southern Shaanxi, the Sichuan basin, Chongqing, the western Yellow-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui basin and South of the Yangtze River, temperatures will reach over 35 degrees celsius.
In some regions, people will see temperatures hit 39 degrees celsius. And in the Turpan Basin, which is known as the hottest area of China, the temperature will soar to 41 degrees celcius.
