BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhuanet) -- A new round of working-level talks on a free-trade agreement between China, South Korea and Japan is underway here in Beijing.
It's the eighth time the countries have met for trilateral talks on this issue, the focus of the week-long meeting includes ways of lifting tariffs and freeing-up the service and investment sectors. Based on the results of these talks, chief negotiators from the three countries are scheduled to hold their eighth meeting in China around September.
The three neighboring countries originally announced plans to begin free-trade negotiations in November 2012, and have since been planning comprehensive trade deal discussions.
China and South Korea reached a bilateral FTA deal earlier this year.
