BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Regular Chinese soldiers and reservists are taking part in a four-day military exercise in the South China Sea.
Around 100 retired soldiers have teamed up with current troops, to practise safeguarding maritime peace, air defense and missile capabilities. They're also taking part in anti-terror and piracy drills.
Experts say the exercises are aimed at bolstering emergency response capabilities of naval forces and improving attack readiness.
