BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhuanet) -- The IOC executive board members are meeting this week and will be treated to presentations from representatives of the two candidate cities for the 2022 Winter Olympics -- Beijing and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
This is the last chance for the pair to speak to the Olympic body in a formal setting, before it chooses a host for the Winter Games at the end of next month.
Of the 101 members who hold the rights to vote in the election during the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur on July 31st, 16 will be absent.
Beijing and Almaty have the opportunity to show their bidding projects in detail to the IOC members at the Olympic Museum on Tuesday, and then they will each take turns to promote their case, through documents and videos and answer any questions.
