BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- China's first lady Peng Liyuan has visited a Belarusian national art center for youth.
Young people and children welcomed Peng with flowers, as well as bread and salt, a tradition to receive distinguished guests. She then toured an exhibition of childrens' paintings, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII.
The first lady praised the well-painted pictures and handmade dolls. The children also performed local songs and dances for the First Lady.
Peng said she liked their performance very much, and expressed hope that the little performers could go to China in the future to further promote the bilateral friendship.
