BEIJING, May 1 (Xinhua) -- After the 72-hour golden window for rescue, hopes of survival are fading in Nepal. Yet there are still precious moments of joy in Kathmandu.
Two people were rescued from collapsed buildings on Thursday. A woman was pulled from the rubble, where she had been trapped alongside three dead bodies. And a 15-year-old boy... identified as Pemba Lama...was found trapped between two floors. A US disaster response team worked at the scene overnight to free the boy. Waiting crowds roared and cheered as the teen was carried out on a stretcher.
