BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhuanet) -- The Red Cross Society of China international rescue team has left China to join the international humanitarian operation in Nepal.
The team comprises of ten medical professionals from the General Hospital of the Armed Police in China. They're carrying medicine and medical equipment worth over 800 thousand US dollars. Once they arrive, they'll begin operating a large mobile hospital.
The medical supplies they're carrying include anti-diarrhea treatments, to help curb the spread of epidemics.
"We brought many different medicines for trauma, also some antibiotics. And we heard that there's an epidemic situation, so we also brought anti-epidemic medicines," said Xia Yixin, from General Hospital of the Armed Police.
