BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhuanet) -- China will set premiums for its deposit insurance at between 0.01 to 0.02 percent of a bank's total deposits. That's according to the country's central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan.
Zhou said Tuesday that the premiums are far lower than in other countries, as the insurance is designed not to have a major impact on banks. Bankers and investors are looking for more details on how premiums for the deposit insurance plan will be administered.
