BEIJING, April 2 (Xinhuanet) -- China's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, has now left the talks in Switzerland, and is heading back to Beijing. But his delegation is still in Lausanne, as negotiations continue.
Before leaving, Wang spoke of China's role in the process, AND of the importance of the United Nations Security Council in future talks.
“What I want to emphasize is that it's vital that the core concerns of all parties are reflected during the process of negotiation. And I want to also say that the United Nations Security Council has a very significant role to play," said Wang Yi.
Earlier, Wang Yi said the talks had "bridged differences" and he offered a four-point proposal for the next phase of the nuclear talks.
Wang stressed the importance of political guidance in the negotiations that all sides must narrow down differences, they must adhere to a step-by-step approach and all parties must strive for a package solution.
