BEIJING, Feb. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin is in Cairo for a two-day state visit to Egypt.
The two sides are set to discuss ways to advance bilateral ties and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Putin spent Monday evening accompanied by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at Cairo's opera house.
On the same day, Putin's spokesman said the Russian leader would not tolerate any ultimatums over Ukraine, after a report said Germany had given Putin until Wednesday to agree to a peace plan or face fresh sanctions.
But Putin warned that he would only go to Wednesday's summit in Minsk if the leaders managed to agree on a "number of points" beforehand.
