BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian fishermen and rescuers have recovered six more bodies from the crashed AirAsia flight QZ8501 over the past few days in South and West Sulawesi waters, an area about 1,000 kilometers away from the crash location in Java Sea.
As of Wednesday, the total number of body retrieved have added up to 70. The six bodies were little more than skeletal remains with a few articles of clothing. Rescuers also recovered some of passengers' belongings including brief cases, wallets and cell phones.
The Head of West Sulawesi Search and Rescue Agency said on Friday that all findings would be transferred to Surabaya for further identification. Despite the absence of the military, the agency will resume search efforts for more bodies on Saturday after a two-day break that will last for at least a week.
