BEIJING, Jan. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Taiwan is suffering from its most severe bird flu outbreak in over the past decade. Over 2,300 people employed at poultry farms across nine counties are being monitored.
Over 400,000 poultry have been culled since the H5 strain of bird flu struck two weeks ago. Taiwan also reported the death of a 2-year-old-boy due to H3N2 on Friday. Health authorities are examining the possibility of a mutation of the virus.
