BEIJING, Jan. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has described the new U.S. sanctions it faces over the hack on Sony Pictures as "Washington's inveterate repugnancy and hostility" towards the country.
US President Barack Obama placed fresh sanctions this Friday on three DPRK organizations and 10 individuals after the F.B.I. blamed Pyongyang for the cyber attack, denying them access to the U.S. financial system. In response, the foreign ministry spokesman for the DPRK said that "the sanctions did not weaken the DPRK" but they will "harden its will and resolution to defend the sovereignty of the country".
