BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- According to US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, one of its technicians has been placed under observation for possible exposure to the deadly virus.
CDC officials said the technician who was working with Ebola specimens, which were supposed to be inactive, may have contained a live sample. The technician will go under observation for three weeks and it is reported that the technician who handled the virus wore protective gloves, but no face mask.
Authorities said chances for the risk of exposure to Ebola was believed to be low. CDC’s director Tom Frieden is demanding a thorough investigation into the incident.
