BEIJING, Dec. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met his Thai counterpart Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok to discuss deepening trade.
The two sides inked a memorandum of understanding, reviving a deal on a railway project and agricultural trade. The agreement will see China double its purchase of agricultural produce from last year.
Li said the Chinese and Thai governments agreed to build Thailand's first standard-gauge railway line, spanning almost 800 kilometers. In addition to bilateral talks, Li Keqiang is also attending the Greater Mekong Subregion summit, which focuses on development and investment in countries along the Mekong River.
Thailand is the last leg of Premier Li's three-nation Eurasia tour, which also took him to Kazakhstan and Serbia.
