BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- The Foreign Ministry says China welcomes the move by the US and Cuba to restore their diplomatic relations and hopes the US will lift its embargo on Cuba. China says it will continue its support of Cuba.
"China and Cuba enjoy close relations and we value our traditional friendship with Cuba. We’ll support Cuba’s choice of political system and path of development, as well as its socio-economic policies. China will not change its policy of developing friendship with Cuba no matter how international situation changes," says Qin Gang, spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry.
