Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has pledged an investment fund of 3 billion US dollars to facilitate financing in the cash-strapped region. China also reached an agreement with host nation Serbia for the construction of a high speed railway between Belgrade and Budapest.

Earlier on Tuesday, Premier Li attended the Fourth Economic and Trade Forum between China and CEE countries. He said there is tremendous potential for the two sides to work together.
