BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Chicago Bulls faced the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. The Nets come into this one as losers of their last two while the Bulls have had a bit of a break and used that time to focus on defence which would pay off big as this game goes on.
Chicago are playing their first game since losing to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
It's the Nets who roll early on. Deron Williams knocks down the three and gives Brooklyn a double-digit lead. 17 for Williams on the night.
But Pau Gasol keeps the Bulls close as he racks up 16 points and 16 rebounds overall. Chicago trail by three late in the opening quarter.

But Derrick Rose steps up for the hosts by scoring seven straight points. The Bulls open a four-point lead with four minutes left in the quarter.
Rose, with 23 points on the night, sinks the triple to put the Bulls up by nine midway through the third.
Chicago hold Brooklyn to 29 points in the second half. Taj Gibson would cap off a 13-0 run for the Bulls by scoring on the contested dunk. The bucket extends their lead to 11. Gibson finishes with 11 points, 10 boards, and his big slam puncutates Chicago's performance.
Jimmy Butler hits a jumper for two of his 18 points as the Bulls wrap up the 105-80 victory over the Nets.
