BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- The establishment of the Constitution Day is part of China’s drive to embrace the rule of law. President Xi Jinping stressed on Wednesday that the Constitution is the highest law of the country, and has called for more awareness of it, and better understanding of the role of law.
Meanwhile at a symposium, China’s top legislator Zhang Dejiang also highlighted the importance of promoting public awareness of the Constitution. He said the public should better understand how it reflects the achievements from reforms carried out by the people under the Party’s guidance, and how it is in line with the country’s reality and development plans. He said China will improve its legal system and supervision of legal implementations to boost social justice.
