BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- It's not just the smog that people have to contend with, but the cold as well...A cold front sweeping across northern China has brought about a sharp drop in temperatures. The National Meteorological Center has upgraded its cold weather warning to the third-highest level.
The Center has predicted that temperatures will drop by 6 to 8 degrees Celsius in some northern areas Saturday. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is set to see temperatures drop to 10 degrees Celsius below zero.
Over the next two days, the cold front and strong winds are expected to move towards the east and southeast, with the sharpest temperature drop of over 14 degree Celsius to be expected in Ji-lin and Liao-ning provinces.
Snow and sleet are forecast in most part of northeast China from Sunday. Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia have already experienced their coldest day this winter. Here’s Xu Geng with more.
