BEIJING, Nov.25 (Xinhuanet) -- Fresh from winning three awards, including Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, boy band One Direction have broken another mould with their wax inauguration at Madame Tussauds Hollywood on Monday.
Their long anticipated induction followed an outpouring of requests from fans. Each figure cost three hundred thousand dollars to make, but they'll only be on show for three months, before they head off on a world tour of other Madame Tussauds. One Direction emerged in 2010, after appearing on UK TV show "The X Factor".
The group's third studio album "Midnight Memories" was the global top selling album of 2013 and their latest single 'Steal My Girl' broke the VEVO record for the most views in 24 hours.
