BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The Ebola outbreak has also led to the largest ever US response to a global health crisis. The US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power has spoken about their efforts in Sierra Leone's capital, Freetown.
"Here in Sierra Leone, the United States is working actively with the government and our international partners to track the virus and to stop its spread," Power said. "We have 59 experts from the Centre for Disease Control here in Freetown - including in Sierra Leone’s own national Ebola response centre - and out in the seven most affected regions, districts."
"The way that we will see no more cases in the United States is that we will defeat Ebola at its source. We will defeat Ebola in Sierra Leone, in Guinea, in Liberia, we will prevent any more cases in Mali, we will scale up sufficient to the challenge here."
