BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Finance ministers from APEC economies are gathering in Beijing to discuss possible solutions to overcoming the economic slowdown in the Asia Pacific region.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 21st APEC Finance Ministers meeting, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli highlighted the Asia-Pacific’s role in promoting the global economy and China’s wish to cooperate with other economies in the region.
Wednesday’s meeting was chaired by Chinese Finance Minister Lou Jiwei and comes ahead of the APEC leadership summit, which takes place next month in Beijing.
