BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has named replacements for two cabinet ministers who both stepped down on Monday, just one month after being appointed to office.
Abe tapped Yoichi Miyazawa as trade minister and Yoko Kamikawa as justice minister within hours of the resignations of Yuko Obuchi and Midori Matsushima. Obuchi and Matsushima were among five female ministers Abe added to his cabinet in a reshuffle early last month. Analysts say the ministers’ resignations handed Abe his biggest setback since he took office in December 2012.
