BEIJING, Sept.18 (Xinhuanet) -- A medical team from China has arrived in the Capital of Sierra Leone on Wednesday to aid efforts to fight Ebola. Comprising 30 doctors, 29 lab technicians and a movable lab, the team will be stationed in the region for six months.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, all doctors are experts on infectious diseases. They will monitor the health of Chinese citizens in Sierra Leone including officials in China’s embassy. The team will also provide technical support to local medical institutes and assist the team from the Chinese Center For Disease Control And Prevention.
China has send a total of 174 medical staff to Sierra Leone so far.
