BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping is in Tajikistan for his state visit to the Central Asian country.
At a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Saturday, Xi proposed that the two countries strive to increase bilateral trade to 3 billion US dollars within five years. Xi called on both sides to boost cooperation in various fields, including oil and gas, electricity and transportation. He called for the smooth construction of the China-Central Asia gas pipeline. Both sides vowed to jointly fight terrorism, separatism and extremism.
On Friday evening, the Tajik President held a family feast for Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan.
